Book after book there was nothing on anything that would sound like Chaos, that odd power inside of Katy. There was the many definitions of chaos, yes, never hitting the words magic or power. It was porbably impossible, not even the wielder of this power knew anything about it's own power, why would there be anything in books? If only we knew who her family was, then maybe that family would have records of such power? Would have to wait for the girl to remember her full name then. Kuro looked at me from my back, no pets were allowed in the library but he had snuck in without me even noticing until it was too late. At least the cat behaved, only looked at me, and hid whenever someone got close.

I pulled my glasses up with a hand and rubbed my eyes with the other. I had always been a terrible reader and all this " research" was getting me tired. It was still early, but as I was I wouldn't make any progress. I would continue my research later on.

As I walked out of the library my cellphone rang as in cue, Bobby's ringtone vibrating in my bag.

"Hello?"

"Rei, where are you?" He asked quickly.

"Coming out of the library why?"

"Could you come to my place? Katy isn't feeling too well."

"I'm on my way." And with that I rushed over.

Bobby opened the door before I could even knock, he didn't look as worried as he sounded, I figured Katy was better. I was wrong. From inside there was a dark light coming from the living room, though it looked dangerous it didn't make you feel scared. In the middle of it there she was. Katy sat there, her eyes closed, strange marks on her face and arms.

"What happened?" I asked Bobby who walked behind me.

"I have no idea, she was taking a nap and all of the sudden ZAP! She jumped up and next thign I knew she was like this." He really wasn't as worried any more.

"You're not worried?"

"I was, but right before you got here she said it was alright. Something about her entering in some sort of trance. I think Chaos took over, those marks are the same marks Kitty has." He explained.

Chaos again. Everything was starting to revolve around this Chaos thing... Maybe I could ask this Chaos directly what it was.

I neared Katy, the darkness inviting me. There she was, right before me. For a moment I couldn't help but feel scared, but a strange power gave me power and courage. Had to be Chaos.

"I feel your determination child." Katy moved her lips, her voice shadowed by another voice. A soft, mature, caring voice.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am this woman. I am her being. I am her power. She is also me."

"Are you Chaos?"

"You could say that." Said Chaos.

"What are you then? Why do people want you?" Bobby only looked from behind.

"I am Chaos itself, disturbance in peace. I am also the purest form of energy, of power." A little pause. "If I was to fall in the wrong hands then maybe the world would fall in dispear. It would die away." Chaos said this worried.

"So they could rake you away from Katy then." Bobby finally said. Chaos nodded.

"It is sad but... Part of me has fallen into the wrong hands..." I looked wide-eyed at the person before me, I could tell Bobby had the same surprised expresion I did.

"Ursula." Bobby spoke, Chaos nodded.

"That child, having the same blood as my vessel, has calld part of me to her. It is nothing but a small portion, unawaken, but it is scared." Katy's eyes opened only to reveal light. "I entered in this trance in order to reach that part of me. I look like a child there, crying, looking for protection. I managed to calm that child that is me, but if those demons were to distrub it..."

"They would get their hands on Chaos..." Bobby said worried. "This isn't good." I turned to him. He had his fist to his mouth, bitting his finger.

"We still have time, but please, save that child as soon as possible." And like smoke the dark light around faded. Katy fell to the side and I rushed to catch her. The marks on her also disappeared. Slowly, still sleepy, she opened her eyes.

"Rei..?" She sat back up. "Hi." She yawned.

"Hi Katy... you don't rememebr anything?" She blinked at me.

"Remember? What?" Katy was a little more away then.

"Oh nothing. Never mind." I said as Bobby went to us and smiled at her.

"Had a nice nap?" He asked.

"I did." Katy smiled cheerfully. "I had a really weird dream though."

"A weird dream?" I asked without I could even realize I was speaking.

"Yes..." She thought for a moment, as if trying to remember. "It was all white. I was just walked and then I found this little girl. She was so cute! She was tiny. Her hoodie had bear paws and ears and her white hair was picked up in pigtails with red ribbons... But she was crying." Katy looked a little sad. "Hello? Hi there little girl. There, there, don't cry any more... Won't you take my hand and come with me?... That's what I asked her. She took my hand, but then I woke up." Katy laughed softly, almost embarrased. Bobby and I looked at each other. Chaos for sure. Why Katy could see something, Chaos was with is.

I had lunch with them and then I went home. Kuro looked as exhausted as I did, he rubbed my arm and licked my fingers, trying to cheer me up maybe. After smiling at him I took a deep breath. The sky was colored in pretty tones of oranges and the summer breeze felt so nice. Everything was so peacefull. From afar there was a small girl, jumping, running, laughing. She would spin as she followed a butterfly. All of the sudden our eyes met and she stopped dead on her tracks. She looked at me for a long time, then at Kuro, back at me. Without wanting I took a step back, her deep green eyes were so intense I felt overwhelmed. Witha  jump she ran towards me.

"Mamma! Pappa!" She shouted.

"W-What?" I shouted. The pretty girl jumped over me, making us both fall.

"I've been looking all over for you!" She said as she sat up over my legs.

"Sorry, but I dont' know you who are. And I couldn't be your mom! I'm too young!" I protested sitting up.

"Pappa you're so mean, you haven't told her about me?" She told Kuro and took him out of my bag into her arms.  This girl was crazy. "I'm Ellen! Well Ellen Elizabeth, but my grandparents only call me that when they're mad. Grandma actually, grandpa doesn't talk much."

I could only look at her, she went on and on about things I didn't understand, little after she started feeling heavy.

"Look, Ellen right?" She looked at me with a cute smile. I stoped myself from hugging her and continued. "I don't know you. I don't know what you're talkign about, but it's getting late. I'll walk you home okay?" Her smile disappeard.

"But... I want to be with mamma and pappa." She started tearing up, just what I needed!

"H-Hey! Don't cry!" But she cried either way. The few people around started looking our way, saying things like "Poor kid"  and "what a rude girl making a kid cry"  and such. Kuro then tried to comfort her. With a sigh I hugged her. I'd play mom for a while then. "I'm sorry. Don't cry now. Let's go home Elly." She pushed me and looked at me with beautiful glassy eyes.

"Let's." She smiled. "Let's go mamma."
