It was a cold night in december. Two weeks before Christmas but it didn't look like it would be a white one, no cloud had dared fly by Emerald town since november and winter was taking longer to come over autumn. It was a quiet night indeed. His breathing was calm and tired as the two-tailed fox had been working fulltime at the university as teacher, scientist and student advisor. Many times he had been told to take it easy, many times had he been invited to spend time with his friends, but many times he had refused, excusing himself with work. The past few years had been especially bad for him. Dreams of her tormented him each night, daydreams of her kept his heart bleeding. Only work could make him focus long enough to avoid daydreams, and tired enough to have dreamless nights. Yes, he was cheating, but he didn't hurt as much any more.
It might have been his cheating the reason it happened that night, or it could have been destiny at work; one way or the other what happened that night he did not expect, but his life would change... And heal his heart.

"...Tails." A sweet voice called out.
"...Tails." So gentle like a breeze, like the dancing petals of a flower in spring.
"Tails... Wake up my dear..." The loving whisper brought an end to his sleep. With still tired eyes he looked up to find an angelic face before him. Oh how he had missed to see that face, how he longed to see her once more... This had to be another dream. She only laughed at his sleepy expression. "Tails, wake up." She smiled as she gently stroked his cheek.
Feeling a shock run up his spine, Tails opened his eyes widely. He was awake. This was no dream.
"C-Cosmo?" Tails said as he sat up. Cosmo by then floated away to stand by the window, which slowly opened to allow a bright light to come from the outside.
"It is time Tails." Time? What did she mean?
Cosmo headed outside, inviting Tails to follow, which he did by taking flight. Of course he was now fully awake and he was not about to let her get away so easily. Just what was she doing there? Was she really even there? Or maybe he had finally gone crazy? Too much work perhaps.
"Cosmo! Hold on!" This really wasn't the reunion he had daydreamed so many times before. He didn't know what to think, what to say, or even how to react, all he could do was to follow Cosmo. Much was his surprise when he realized she was heading towards Galaxia, the tree he had raised from her seed.
He landed to observe how Galaxia's branches quickly filled up with buds and bloomed beautifully out of season. It was trully a sight to see, and the air about was warm to the skin. Just then a brighter light was seen from the top of the tree, and shortly after a sharp cry was heard. Tails narrowed his eyes and he flew up to see what was the sourse of the cry.
Poor Tails nearly had a heart attack when he found a baby wraped un pedals, laid upon a flower bed. The child cried in need of attention.
"Isn't she beautiful? Our little Galaxia." Said Cosmo's voice behind Tails, making him turn in search of her.
"What do you mean ours?" But Cosmo was long gone. "Don't disappear on me like that!" Tails shouted frustrated and turned once more to the baby before him. With a sigh he took the small being in his arms, admiring how much she looked like Cosmo... and that oddly enough had ears like his.

The phone rang with urgency waking a very sleepy hedgehog and his wife. So sleepy he was that he confused the phone ringing with his son's cry.
"Amy... So see what Keric wants..." And rolled in bed.
"Sonic, Keric is right here. Answer the phone already before he wakes up." Luckily for both parents the little boy was hard to wake up.
Not very sure of what was going on Sonic reached for the phone which was next to him.
"Hello?" He asked in between yawns. There was yapping coming from the other side. "Woah take it easy Tails, I can't understand what you're saying." Sonic turned on the lights and started putting on his boots. Amy watched confused until her husband let the phone down.
"So what did Tails say?" Amy asked as she sat up carefully to not bother her son.
"I'm not sure. Something about his tree and baby clothes and food."
"Are you serious?" Mamma hedgehog couldn't really follow.
"Any way, let's get everything and head over right away." And without losing a beat the hedgehog family dressed, packed and ran out in the middle of the night.
"Amy... So see what Keric wants..." And rolled in bed.

Tails ran to the door, opening it to invite his soul brother and sister-in-law with a desperate expression.
Come in! Come in! I'm so glad you could make it!" Tails said quickly.
"You know Tails? I always thought you were the most normal of us all, but I guess you can be pretty scary too sometimes." Amy said, thinking he was probably overreacting.
"I'm sorry! I just don't know what to do! I'm too young to be a single parent!" He said with his arms spread to the sides in search of support. Sonic and Amy couldn't help but to look to each other but they were both as confused as the other.
"Calm down Tails." Said Amy as she made her way inside, leaving Keric-who was still sleeping- on the couch. "What are you talking about?"
"Yeah buddy, we can't help you if you don't say it clearly." Sonic sided with Amy. Tails was clearly frustrated, scared, even confused and for a moment his cheeks turned red.
"Follow me." The young fox said.
And so they followed him to his room. It surprised them to see that his lights were on, Tails was not someone to leave lights on if he was not going to be in the room.
"Hmm? Left the lights on?" Asked Amy as she looked about.
"She would cry if I turned them off..." Tails said with his head down.
"Who is she?" Sonic asked and they all three stoped walking.
"Galaxia." Tails turned to them and said with a dead serious expression.
"Wait, wait. Your tree?" Sonic asked with his hands on his hips. Tails had to be kidding.
"Thing is..." Tails said as he reached for something over his bed. "She's not a tree anymore." He turned to reveal the baby. "I can't believe I'm holding her in my arms..."
Sonic and Amy could only stare at the sight before them. It was really her, at least it had to be. A baby seedrian was in Tails arms... The baby really could have only been born from that tree...
All Sonic and Amy could say was-

So if you guys thought I had given up on this well guess what, I haven't.
So some of you may know that I wanted to actually draw this second part of Mache Agape, but I keep changing character design and such so drawing it would probably take me years. And since I have no internet on my main computer where I do all my homework and stuff you could say I have a lot more time to *cough*procastinate*cough* write all the things I want to write. I do however, have this first chapter drawn out, so I might scan it and upload it as it is, without speach bubbles and all the nice effects I wanted to add.
Well finally you have my first chapter of Mache Agape~Afer Story. Hope you all like it!!
